Whether you’re on the lookout for antique treasures or are in need of some Christmas pudding, this is the perfect place to start your quest. Running from 4 November all the way until Christmas Eve, this is a market which is not to be missed this festive season.
To get to Southbank, simply get a train to Waterloo, and it’s less than a 10-minute walk from the station.
What is a Christmas in London without a visit to Winter Wonderland? It is unquestionably the most famous Christmas market in London, and with heaps of attractions, the title is rightly deserved. Quickly becoming a traditional trip for couples and families alike, you won’t want to be left out on the fun. With its traditional German style market, you can stock up on gifts and treats from all areas of the UK and beyond – and the festive season simply wouldn’t be the same without it.
Starting on 19 November, and running all the way until 3 January, it’s a tradition worth sticking too! To get to this hub of Christmas cheer, simply get a train to Waterloo, followed by a short 10-minute tube to Hyde Park Corner or a 30-minute walk.
London Leicester Square
The Christmas Market at Leicester Square is a festive favourite in the heart of the city. Since Christmas would be nothing without a bit of sweetness, be sure to stuff your face with the offerings of waffles, churros and cakes galore. With all those treats available, a Santa suit might just be the perfect attire for this adventure!
Starting on 12 November and running until 9 January, you have plenty of time to get involved.

Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market

With its Christmas market recognised as one of the best in Europe, and renowned for its unique location, this is truly a wonderland for all Christmas lovers. With handpicked exhibitors and a bustling atmosphere, this Christmas market is inspired by traditional German Christmas markets and attracts more than 400,000 visitors each year.
Don’t miss out on this festive extravaganza from 19 November to 22 December – and simply hop on a train to Winchester, and with the market is only a 10-minute walk from the station.
