Advice for customers affected by air traffic control flight cancellations

If you were travelling to an airport on 8 or 9 September using the SWR network and were affected by the significant disruption due to technical problems with air traffic control, we have some options to help you:

  • If you have been booked on a different flight, tickets dated 8 or 9 September can be used instead on the new date for which your inbound/outbound flight has been rebooked. You will need to show both your rail ticket and your new airline ticket.
  • You can return home on your rail ticket on the same day in the event of a flight cancellation after your rail journey has started.
  • If you no longer plan to travel due to the cancellation of your flight or you have had to purchase a new ticket to travel to/from a different airport due to a flight diversion, you can apply for a fee-free refund within 28 days of the date of travel on the ticket you no longer require here.
