How do I get to LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort?

LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort is easy to get to from around Britain. It’s a popular destination, particularly on weekends and during school holidays, so avoid traffic and parking stress by taking public transport. What’s more, if you travel by train with a National Rail train ticket you can get 2FOR1 tickets to the resort.

Travelling by train

To get to LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort by train, there are two main train stations you can travel into: Windsor & Eton Riverside and Windsor & Eton Central.

If you’re travelling from outside of London, some of the most popular train routes to LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort run from Reading, Farnham, Ascot, Wokingham, Staines, Ashford (Surrey) and Egham.

From Windsor & Eton Riverside or Windsor & Eton Central, walk to Windsor Theatre Royal and take the 702 or 703 bus. There are three to four buses an hour every day, and the journey takes just 10 minutes.

There is a flexible range of ticket types to choose from. Get cheap train tickets to Windsor by travelling off-peak or booking in advance, and save more money with a Railcard.

Travelling from London

One of the easiest ways to get to LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort from London is to hop on a direct train from London Waterloo to Windsor & Eton Riverside. The train takes less than an hour and generally runs every 30 minutes. You can also join the same train at Clapham Junction, Richmond, Twickenham and Feltham.

Windsor is located outside of London’s fare zones, so make sure you have a valid train ticket from London to Windsor that covers your whole journey.

Themed lands

There are 12 themed lands for you and your family to explore on your day trip or short break. The fun starts as soon as you reach The Beginning, with a vibrant themed entrance to welcome you. Children can have a splash at DUPLO Valley, wander through the castle at Knight’s Kingdom, and dig for gold in Pirate Shores.

Kids can try their hand at steering a boat and even get their own LEGOLAND® driving license in LEGO® City. Other lands include Miniland, LEGO NINJAGO World, Heartlake City, Kingdom of the Pharaohs, Land of the Vikings, Imagination and Adventure Land – there is something for everyone!

Rides and attractions

At LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort there are rides and attractions to suit all ages. For toddlers and little ones below the age of five, DUPLO Valley is a must-visit, with the DUPLO® Express and the chance to be a pilot at DUPLO® Airport. Little ones can see the theme park from above in Aero Nomad, or learn to drive at L-Drivers, plus they’ll have a whale of a time on Thunder Blazer.

For older children, The Dragon roller coaster is an exhilarating experience, along with swinging on the Jolly Rocker and enjoying the rapids at the Viking River Splash. If they’re not into rides, there are plenty of other attractions at LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, such as the Games Zone, filled with all the best LEGO® games on PlayStation®4, and the Fairy Tale Brook where you’ll spot everything from princesses to magical creatures and creative LEGO® masterpieces.

Shows and entertainment

The shows and exciting entertainment at LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort are sure to keep kids captivated regardless of whether you’re visiting for a fun family day out, a school trip or a birthday party. Look out for meet and greet points around the theme park for breaks between rides and enjoy everything the shows have to offer. Head to the Haunted House Monster Party to meet Lord Vampyre and his Monster Friends, or if you and your family love music, the LEGO® Friends Musical Meet & Greet is well worth a watch. Younger children will be loving the DUPLO® Valley Theatre, with classic fairy tales and a dash of comedy.
