Thorpe Park is located in Chertsey, Surrey, just 30 minutes outside of London and 18 miles south west of central London.
How do I get to Thorpe Park?
Looking to escape the capital for a fun day out? Thorpe Park is a well-connected destination, and if you travel by train with a National Rail train ticket, you can get 2FOR1 tickets to the resort.
Travelling by train
To get to Thorpe Park from London, including from London Waterloo and Clapham Junction, as well as from Windsor, Bracknell and Reading, take a South Western Railway train to Staines. The journey from central London to Staines by train takes around 30-50 minutes, with up to 6 trains per hour.
From Staines station, take express bus route 950 from bus stop S in the station forecourt outside platform 1. The bus stop is approximately 15m from the station exit via 5 steps or 30m via step-free ramp.
Buses operate during the Thorpe Park season only, and run up to every 15-20 minutes, taking around 15 minutes to the main entrance of the park.
Travelling from London
The journey from central London to Thorpe Park by train takes just 30-50 minutes from London Waterloo to Staines.
Travelcards, Oyster cards, contactless payment cards and Freedom Passes are not valid for travel to Staines on South Western Railway services. Please make sure you have a valid train ticket for your entire journey.
Planning your journey and buying tickets
To travel to Thorpe Park by train and bus, you will need to buy your train and bus tickets separately.
For your train journey, simply buy a ticket to Staines or Woking on our journey planner or from a station ticket office or ticket machine. We offer a wide range of ticket types for your train journey, including cheap train tickets when you travel off-peak, book in advance, or use a Railcard, and if you’re travelling in a group, you could save even more.
Note: please be aware that contactless payment is valid for travel to Staines, but Oyster cards, travelcards and Freedom Passes are not. Oyster, Contactless, travelcards and Freedom Passes without an extension are not valid for travel to Woking.
