SWR service information published for Saturday 3 November

South Western Railway has published service information for the latest RMT industrial action planned for Saturday 3 November.

Around half of SWR’s normal Saturday services will run. Rail replacement services and ticket acceptance on other bus and rail networks have also been organised where possible.

Fans attending the England Quilter International rugby match against South Africa are advised to plan travel in advance and allow extra time for journeys as services will be busier than usual.

There will be 12 South Western Railway trains per hour between Waterloo and Twickenham. There will be one train every hour to/from Windsor and two trains every hour to/from Reading via Ascot.

SWR is advising customers travelling to Twickenham from Reading or West of Reading to travel to Paddington (ticket acceptance is in place with Great Western Railway) and then use London Underground services to Waterloo.

There will be no trains to Brentford so fans travelling to the football will need to make alternative travel arrangements.

A South Western Railway spokesperson said: “The RMT is cynically targeting sports fans and families and friends wanting to attend fireworks displays with this latest strike.

“We have guaranteed a guard to be rostered on every single service, and our growth plans mean more guards, not fewer. It is time for the union to stop spreading myths and causing misery to our customers and colleagues, and commit to resolving this dispute.

“If the union decides to continue with its unnecessary action, we will do everything we can to keep our customers moving and reduce disruption.”
