Strike action on 1 and 3 February – check your whole journey before you travel

Train drivers who are members of the RMT union, and depot drivers and Island Line drivers who are members of the ASLEF union, will take part in national strike action on Wednesday 1 and Friday 3 February.

Mainland

We intend to run a full service on the mainland on Wednesday 1 and Friday 3 February. Train drivers at other operators will be involved in the strike action, meaning some connections with our services may be affected or may not run at all.

Given the impact of the wider ASLEF strike, we may experience difficulty getting colleagues and trains to where they need to be, resulting in some short notice delays and cancellations, particularly if there is disruption.

If you are planning to travel on Wednesday 1 and Friday 3 February, please check your whole journey before travelling by visiting: https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

Isle of Wight

We are sorry that there will be no service on the Island Line as a result of this strike action. If you have purchased a ticket to travel on the Island Line on these days, please see the compensation information below.

We have not been notified of any other industrial action impacting SWR. Unions are legally obliged to give us at least 14 days' notice of any planned strikes. If unions notify us of any other action, we will let customers know and update this page.
