Where is Thorpe Park?
Thorpe Park is located in Chertsey, Surrey, just 30 minutes outside of London and 18 miles south west of central London. To get to Thorpe Park, take a South Western Railway train from London Waterloo to Staines.
How do I get to Thorpe Park?
Looking to escape the capital for a fun day out? Thorpe Park is a well-connected destination, and if you travel by train with a National Rail train ticket, you can get 2FOR1 tickets to the resort.
Travelling by train
Staines is the nearest station to Thorpe Park, and you can get a direct train there from London, Windsor, Reading and Weybridge. From Staines you can take the 950 Express Bus to Thorpe Park, which runs every 15-20 minutes.
Travelcards, Oyster cards, contactless payment cards and Freedom Passes are not valid for travel to Staines on South Western Railway services. Please make sure you have a valid train ticket for your entire journey.
Things to do in Thorpe Park
Thorpe Park is a theme park like no other. From white-knuckle rides to family attractions, you’ll never run out of things to do there. For adrenaline junkies with the need for speed, there are exhilarating roller coasters including Colossus – the world’s first 10-loop rollercoaster – and Stealth – the most iconic roller coaster of all, visible from miles away, that launches you 205ft into the air at 80mph in just 2.5 seconds.
Climb aboard Derren Brown’s Ghost Train: Rise of The Demon and prepare for a journey into the chilling depths of the unknown and take a dive through the devastation left by an alien attack on The Swarm – the UK’s first winged rollercoaster.
Stealth roller coaster
If wet rides are your thing, make a splash on the Rumba Rapids, cool off on Depth Charge or get super-soaked on the famous Tidal Wave.
Prepare for a scare on SAW: The Ride or get set for the fright of your life at Thorpe Park’s FRIGHT NIGHTS and Halloween Drive-In Films throughout October.
