First customers experience SWR's new trains

There was lots of excitement yesterday - 09 January - as our first customers got to experience SWR’s fabulous new Arterio trains. The trip to Windsor and back is the first step in the phased roll-out of the full 90 train fleet later this year.

SWR teams are working hard to build on yesterday’s important milestone as we prepare for the full roll out of Arterios, firstly on the Windsor route and then across our suburban network.

These trains will be the beating heart of our commuter network, delivering more capacity and better performance, all with accessible toilets, wi-fi, charging points, air conditioning and walk through carriages to improve your journeys.
