SWR service information published for Saturday 17 November

Wednesday 14th November 2018
South Western Railway has published service information for the latest RMT industrial action planned for Saturday 17 November.

Around half of SWR’s normal Saturday services will run. Rail replacement services and ticket acceptance on other bus and rail networks have also been organised where possible.

Fans attending the England Quilter International rugby match against Japan are advised to plan travel in advance and allow extra time for journeys as services will be busier than usual.

There will be 12 South Western Railway trains per hour between Waterloo and Twickenham. There will be one train every hour to/from Windsor and two trains every hour to/from Reading via Ascot.

SWR is advising customers travelling to Twickenham from Reading or West of Reading to travel to Paddington (ticket acceptance is in place with Great Western Railway) and then use London Underground services to Waterloo.

A South Western Railway spokesperson said: “We have guaranteed to roster a guard on every single service. Our plans mean more guards, not fewer.

“The RMT union should now commit to resolving their dispute which causes misery for our customers and hard-working colleagues alike.

“We will do everything we can to keep our customers moving and reduce disruption on Saturday if they decide to push ahead with this needless action.”
