Save big this Black Friday with half price travel on South Western Railway

For the first time, South Western Railway is offering fantastic Black Friday savings on train tickets.

For tickets booked online between 23 and 26 November, South Western Railway is offering a massive 50% discount compared to usual ticket prices. This could save a family of four travelling between Ryde and London Waterloo almost £39, Bournemouth and London Waterloo over £44, and Exeter and London Waterloo over £61.

The discounted tickets also qualify for two for one entry in over 150 locations across London at a wide range of attractions, theatres, restaurants and exhibitions - including the London Eye and the London Dungeon.

Peter Williams, Commercial Director for South Western Railway, said:

“Christmas and the New Year can be expensive. This fantastic offer will help our customers’ money go further. It is the latest ticketing initiative from South Western Railway that will encourage people to use our trains.”

South Western Railway is currently offering other discounted seasonal tickets. This includes tickets to travel to Winchester’s internationally renowned Christmas market and ice rink as well as Portsmouth’s Dickens Christmas Festival and the Christmas attraction at Gunwharf Quays.

Earlier this year SWR launched Carnet. This gives a five percent discount when ten tickets are purchased at the same time. At the same time, automatic renewal discounts for monthly season ticket holders was rolled out. This allows customers to buy 11 monthly season tickets in succession and get the 12th free.
