Through our Customer and Communities Improvement Fund, we look to support projects across our Island Line network that address an area of social need and benefit local communities.
How it works
£300,000 is available for Isle of Wight projects until the end of our franchise in 2024, split into £100,000 offered every two years. We are looking for projects that have clear social or community benefit, are deliverable and linked to the local railway. Bids are encouraged to show an element of committed match funding.
An independent group, made up of interested parties from the Isle of Wight, choose which schemes should be nominated to Department for Transport, who will make the final grant approval.

Current bidding process
The initial bidding for the 2018-2020 tranche took place in November 2017 and £80,000 was awarded to successful schemes. We’re now accepting bids for the remaining £20,000.
