Christmas Shoebox Appeal

The Station Shoebox appeal is back for another year.

The appeal first began in 2017, when colleagues wanted to help vulnerable people facing homelessness at Christmas.

Thanks to the generosity from our customers and colleagues, the appeal has grown each year and is now supported by more stations across the SWR network.

We are once again collecting items to support local charities. If you can donate, the charities have shared a list of the following items which would make the biggest difference:

  • Hats & gloves
  • Scarves
  • Socks
  • Deodorant or soap
  • Toothbrush & toothpaste
  • Chocolate (with a long sell-by date)
  • Hand warmers
  • Personal hygiene products
  • Talcum powder
  • Hairbrush
  • Seasonal card, note, or short letter for the recipient
  • Puzzle books / book
  • Seasonal gift
  • Dried pasta, rice
  • Tins of soup, cuppa soups
  • Biscuits, crisps
  • Pre-paid Oyster cards
  • Unwanted old mobile phones
  • Underwear
