Movements Manager
We are seeking individuals experienced in an operational environment who will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the allocation of rolling stock. With strong leadership skills, you will manage teams and work alongside the Fleet Depot Manager to ensure fleet maintenance, safety, and performance standards are met.
Shunter
We are hiring Shunters to efficiently move units around our fleet depots as directed by the Duty Movements Manager in preparation for maintenance to be carried out. This is a role that requires attention to detail, clear communication and a preference for an outdoor, team-orientated environment.
Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance technician you will service, maintain, and repair critical components and equipment, ensuring our trains operate at peak performance. From inspecting trains as they arrive for service to tackling tasks ranging from brake pad replacements to more advanced motor and gearbox repairs, your expertise will keep our fleet rolling safely and smoothly.
Stores Personnel
As a stores personnel, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective running of the stores function. This includes receiving, handling and issuing stock coming into or going out of the stores. Other duties include; ensuring that stock levels are maintained, materials are issued to depot staff, good receipt invoices, carrying out daily checks of traction fuel, and managing all computer systems used to for logistics and administration.
Depot Admin
As a Depot Administrator you will support our management team by handling various administrative tasks, including maintaining our filing system, documenting meeting minutes, and preparing presentation materials. You'll also be responsible for coordinating staff training, managing payroll procedures, creating staff rosters, and assisting with HR-related activities such as tracking staff absences.
Depot Driver
As a Depot Driver, you will play a key role in manoeuvring our fleet of trains at a controlled steady pace around the depot. You will undertake crucial tasks such as resetting electrical control systems, conducting brake tests, coupling and uncoupling train coaches and operating hand points. You will also perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing wiper blades and light bulbs.
Train Presentation Cleaner
In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our trains are spotless and presented to the highest standard, enhancing the travel experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include the safe and effective removal of graffiti, handling of biological hazards, and meticulous completion of Controlled Emission Toilet tasks. while strictly adhering to safety regulations.
Train Presentation Manager
As a Train Presentation Manager you will be responsible for the planning, cleaning and delivery of rolling stock for service in accordance with train presentation standards. You will lead your team of train presentation staff and liaise with customers, suppliers to ensure South Western Railways highest standards are met.
