Take part in a great Christmas tradition with a pantomime

Amongst all the other things that Christmas brings, there’s just nothing to beat a good panto! So we’ve brought you six ideas of our favourites on our network.
 

The Anvil Basingstoke: Snow White and the Seven DwarfsBody Image - Cast from Anvil Pantomime Snow White
When: 13 December - 6 January
How to get there: The Anvil is just across the road from Basingstoke station. Walk across the zebra crossing at the front of the station and turn right - The Anvil is on the left at the roundabout.
Who to watch for: Dani Harmer (CBBC's Tracy Beaker) as Snow White!
Stay for: Festival Place - just five minutes' walk from The Anvil, with dozens of shops and restaurants to complete the day.
Join the Wicked Queen, handsome Prince, seven mischievous dwarfs, and of course, Snow White herself, for festive fun packed full of glittering costumes, sumptuous sets, catchy songs and heaps of audience participation.

The Pavilion Theatre Bournemouth: Sleeping Beauty
When: 8 December - 6 January
How to get there: The Pavilion Theatre is a 25 minute walk from Bournemouth station along Holdenhurst Road and Bath Road, or just 10 minutes by regular bus from Holdenhurst Road.
Who to watch for: Rita Simons (BBC's Eastenders) as the wicked fairy Carabosse, and Olivia Birchenough (Milkshake!) as Princess Briar Rose!
Stay for: The Christmas Tree Wonderland in the Lower Gardens just outside - with regular light and audio shows, an Alpine Market and Bar, and Father Christmas himself in his grotto, the Christmas Tree Wonderland is a fitting finish to an afternoon at the theatre.

The producers that brought you Cinderella and Jack and the Beanstalk are proud to bring you one of the most traditional and popular pantomimes of all time, Sleeping Beauty.

Packed with great songs, amazing dance routines and plenty of laughter, this is a tremendous treat for all the family.

Kings Theatre Portsmouth: Cinderella
When: 11 December - 6 January
How to get there: Kings Theatre is 25 minutes' walk from Portsmouth and Southsea station, or just 10 minutes on the Route 2 bus, which runs every 10 minutes from the Civic Offices just outside the station. Why not make the most of the day with up to 20% off your ticket?

How to get there: Richmond Theatre is less than 5 minutes' walk from Richmond station - just cross the road, walk through Old Station Passage, and turn left onto Little Green.
Who to watch for: Robert Lindsay as Captain Hook, and Jon Clegg as Mr Smee
Stay for: Festive Horse Drawn Carriage Rides through Richmond Park, or the Botanical Gardens at Kew

Join high-flying hero Peter Pan, as he transports the Darlings on an adventure they will never forget, filled with evil pirates, a very hungry crocodile and the meanest man in Neverland, Captain Hook!

Theatre Royal Winchester: Beauty and the Beast
When: 1 December - 6 January
