We wanted to let you know about an issue that may have affected some 16–25, Veterans and HM Forces Railcard fares.

For journeys in July and August, the usual £12 minimum fare before 10am does not apply. However, due to an industry system error, this restriction was not removed as scheduled, and some customers may have been charged more than expected.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. The issue has now been identified and corrected on most systems and our self-service ticket machines will be corrected by Tuesday 7 July. If you believe you have been affected by this issue, you can contact us for a partial refund. You will need to provide your ticket (or details of it) along with some information about your journey.
