Why is SWR leaving the Nectar Scheme?

SWR is leaving the Nectar scheme after four years as a collection partner. We have taken this decision as we adapt to the impact of COVID-19 on the railway and focus our efforts on running an efficient service that delivers great value to our customers every day.

When will the collection of Nectar points end?

The collection of Nectar points will end on 30 April 2021, after which you will no longer be able to collect Nectar points on your purchases through SWR. 

How long will it take to get my Nectar points?

Nectar points earned on bookings made through the SWR website up to and including 30 April 2021 will be processed within 28 days.

What happens to my existing Nectar points?

Any previously awarded Nectar points will still be available through your Nectar account at nectar.com

Where can I see my Nectar points history on bookings I have made with SWR?

Your points history is available through your Nectar account at nectar.com.

Will SWR still know my Nectar card number after 30 April 2021?

No. SWR have never held details about your Nectar Card number. Strict security measures were in place under GDPR laws preventing SWR knowing your Nectar Card number (which was protected by what is called a Hashed ID which only Nectar could access).
