The Great Western main line will be closed all days this week between Taunton and Exeter for repairs and maintenance work in Whiteball Tunnel.
Some Great Western Railway services will be diverted between Reading and Exeter and will run via the South Western Railway route between Yeovil and Exeter via Honiton. South Western Railway services between Salisbury, Yeovil and Exeter will run to a revised timetable to accommodate the diverted Great Western Railway services.
Most of the alterations will be minor delays, but some trains may be delayed by up to 10 minutes.
In order for trains to arrive at London Waterloo at the normal times, some early morning services will leave Exeter up to 15 minutes earlier than normal.
Some evening services will be delayed by 10 – 15 minutes between Exeter and Yeovil due to the number of “evening peak” services which have to run over the single line sections of track. The 2257 Exeter to Salisbury service will run about 35 minutes later than normal from Exeter.
Please use this link for timetable of the Monday to Friday service between London Waterloo, Salisbury, Yeovil and Exeter.
