Portsmouth has something for everyone this Christmas. From shopping at Gunwharf Quays, ice skating at Guildhall Square, partying at the top of the Emirates Spinnaker Tower, visiting the Historic Dockyards and Dickens Christmas Festival to enjoying a Royal Tudor Court Christmas at the Mary Rose. Whats more with South Western Railway you can save 20%^^ on getting there

Gunwharf Quays and the Gunwharf Express
Find the perfect gift for family and friends this Christmas at Gunwharf Quays. Save up to 60% off original prices at big names like Kate Spade, Nike, The White Company and many more!

This year the kids can make the most of Gunwharf Quays too with the Gunwharf Express. Get the full North Pole treatment at this premium walkthrough (and ride on!) experience, with characters, stunning sets, puppetry and spectacular effects - all ending with a meeting with Father Christmas himself.
Spinnaker
Have a Christmas party to remember at the Emirates Spinnaker Tower. Dinner and dancing served at 100 metres up means spectacular views of the Solent and across Portsmouth. With a glass of prosecco provided on arrival, live DJ and fine dining menu, this is a party with a difference.

Or if you're bringing the little ones, why not help Santa's elves in the Tower’s workshop as they make the finishing touches to their latest batch of cuddly reindeers? Each child will name their reindeer, fill it with stuffing and place a magic charm inside before carefully sealing it up. Once their reindeer is finished, no trip to Santa’s workshop is complete without a visit to see Father Christmas in his grotto!

Historic Dockyard and Dickens Christmas Festival
The Historic Dockyard provides a year-round list of things to do, but it's particularly special at Christmas. Be transported to a bygone era with the Dickens Christmas Festival at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Explore beautiful snowy streets with colourful characters and toe-tapping entertainment. This year, celebrate the works of Portsmouth-born Charles Dickens - a man influential in promoting the essence of modern Christmas.

Meet characters from Mr. Dickens’ most famous novels; Oliver Twist, The Old Curiosity Shop, Great Expectations, David Copperfield and (of course) A Christmas Carol as the dockyard is transformed into Victorian Portsmouth.

Shop for perfect present at the Christmas markets, and enjoy a tipple or two at one of the bars on site – Fagin’s Tavern, or the brand new Gin & Prosecco Parlour.

Ice Rink

Guildhall Square plays host to one of its premier winter destinations, SKATE Ice Rink.

Less than five minutes' walk from Portsmouth and Southsea station, the festive venue will be surrounded by alpine fauna and lights. But of course, if skating isn't your thing, there's always Mogul's Bar; a cosy armchair and some mulled wine or a steaming hot chocolate to while away the afternoon.
