  • South Western Railway (SWR) donates £1,000 to Two Saints homeless charity, based across Hampshire and the South of England
  • SWR has already donated to a homeless charity in London this year and will make a third donation shortly

South Western Railway has made a donation of £1,000 to a homeless charity based in Hampshire.

The charity selected to receive the donation – Two Saints  – provides a range of services for local homeless and vulnerable people in Portsmouth, Fareham, Gosport, Southampton, Havant, the New Forest, and the Isle of Wight.

Two Saints provides supported lodgings and housing, independent living advice, early intervention services and community / drop-in sessions.

Helen Whale, Executive Assistant at Two Saints, said:
“Our mission is to give people who are homeless, vulnerable or in need of support, the opportunity to build a brighter future. We do this empowering our clients with choice and control.

“We were delighted to welcome Peter from SWR and show him around our offices. It’s great we have established a positive relationship and hope to work together again in the near future."

Peter Byrne, SWR's Station Manager at Southampton Airport Parkway, said:
“It was an honour to visit Two Saints at their Fareham office and find out more about their work with homeless people and local communities.

“We wanted to recognise what a great job Two Saints does in the local community. We know that this money will go towards helping local homeless people who are less fortunate than those of us with a roof over our head and a safe place to sleep. We hope to continue working with Two Saints in the months ahead.”
