Wise up at our Passenger Security Awareness Events

South Western Railway and British Transport Police are teaming up to hold a string of interactive events to help keep passengers safe.

This Thursday an event will be held at Wimbledon Railway Station from 7am-7pm, following initial events at Clapham Junction on Tuesday (3 July) and Woking Thursday (5 July). There are more events to come for some of the line’s busiest stations, to be announced soon.

Alessandro Finistrella, Security & Crime Prevention Manager, South Western Railway, said: “Keeping passengers safe is our top priority and these interactive events will help customers get up to speed with the latest security advice.

At the events, South Western Railway and British Transport Police officials will be on hand at the events to engage with passengers, answer their questions and advise them on issues such as spotting and reporting unusual behaviour and theft prevention.

There will also be a prize draw where passengers could win travel vouchers worth £25 per person.
