Can I reserve seats on South Western Railway trains with my Group Travel train ticket?
We don’t offer seat reservations on our trains. Choose any available seats – bear in mind you can only sit in standard class with Standard Class train tickets.
What times can you travel with a Group Travel ticket?
Group discounts become available after 9:30 am, when off-peak tickets become eligible. All fares are subject to availability.
Do Group Travel tickets work on weekends and public holidays?
Subject to availability, group products are available on weekends and public holidays as these are off-peak times.
Can you buy Group Travel train tickets at the station?
You can buy Group Travel train tickets at any train station – head to a ticket office to make your purchase.
What are the payment options when booking through the Group Travel Team?
You can pay by card over the phone or with a BACS transfer for businesses and organisations.
How do I get my Group Travel tickets?
For physical tickets, head to a station that has a ticket office and grab them there. If you’re travelling solely on SWR services and don’t need TfL or bus access, we can send a Group Authority to Travel document via email which you can use instead of tickets. We don’t send physical tickets via post.
Can I still get Railcard discounts with Group Travel tickets?
You can’t get Railcard discounts with Group Travel tickets, but rest assured, Group Travel tickets offer the best discount for groups of 10+ people.
Can I cancel my tickets?
If you need to cancel your Group Travel tickets, there’s a £5 administration fee per ticket, under rules set out by the Rail Delivery Group.
Do I get access to SWR Rewards?
You still have access to SWR Reward discounts when you buy Group Travel tickets. With SWR Rewards, you can get discounts on activities, hotel stays, food and drink, and more.

You can use your Group Travel ticket to get access to 2FOR1 offers when you show your rail ticket.
