Tips for enjoying NFL gameday in London

Get the most out of your NFL experience with our top tips:

Arrive early - Like any sports event, a typical NFL gameday commences hours before kick-off. Many fans arrive at the stadium early to indulge in food and drinks, browse team merchandise and revel in the pre-match atmosphere.

Use public transport - The NFL games are popular, meaning roads around the stadiums will likely be congested. Forget about parking and traffic jams and catch a train to London. The city’s fantastic tube and bus service will get you from A to B – and your pre-match festivities won’t have to be alcohol-free!

Browse the merchandise - If you haven’t yet bought your jersey, you’ll have plenty of time to get kitted out before the match. Official stalls will be pitched around each stadium, selling everything from branded sports gear to food and drinks.

Bring a small bag or avoid taking one if possible - Both Wembley and Tottenham Hotspur have restricted bag policies. Bags will be inspected on entry, and they must be smaller than A4 size.

Dine in the area - Strict bag rules at Wembley and Tottenham Hotspur stadiums mean you’re not permitted to bring your own food, but both stadiums offer food and drinks stalls to cater for all tastes. Arriving early? The White Heart Pub and Pasta Remoli are popular choices near Wembley, while Spur Restaurant near Tottenham is a fan favourite. Alternatively, you can enjoy a packed lunch before entering the stadium.
