A perfect three-day celebration of Mudeford’s rich cultural heritage and its local produce
The beautiful fishing harbour of Mudeford will be launching its first seafood festival on Saturday 25th, Sunday 26th and Monday 27th May, a celebration of Mudeford’s rich cultural heritage, its local produce and its historic links to the Solent, Christchurch Bay, Harbour and Quay. The premium family friendly event, held on Mudeford Quay over the May Bank Holiday, will be free entry and will feature some of the region’s most exciting chefs, suppliers and artisan producers
with a focus on sustainability.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Mudeford’s historic fishing community, Christchurch Harbour and the Iron Age location of Hengistbury Head, Mudeford Quay will welcome Michelin-starred chefs to its festival kitchen providing live cooking demonstrations and audience participation. Top chefs will include celebrities such as Brian Turner CBE, Rustie Lee and local talent such as Alex Aitken Chef Patron of The Jetty, Pete Roberts Head Chef at The Thomas Tripp / Seafood Shack and Colin Nash from The Three Tunns in Bransgore.
The Festival will include an exciting line up of over 60 individual stallholders including Catch IOW, Seafood Shack, Coral Bay Seafoods and Kraken Seafood Co with seafood offerings such as Crab, Lobster, Scallops, Mackerel, Oysters, Monkfish and much more. There will also be plenty of other local delights from Ridiculously Rich by Alana, Los Churros Amigos and Gourmet Cheese Co. All can be enjoyed with a glass of Hattingley Valley English sparkling wine, a pint of festival ale from Ringwood Brewery or Gin & Tonic from Conker Spirit.
Just 10 minutes by taxi from Christchurch station, served by regular trains to Bournemouth, Poole and London Waterloo.

A true showcase of local producers, suppliers, artisans and chefs, with daily FREE entertainment and cooking demonstrations in the festival kitchen; food sampling, drink pairing and sharing, as well as cooking tips for all culinary tastes.
Live food demonstrations will be mixed with the sounds of local bands and musicians making each day go with a swing!
For the kids (and the big kid in all of us) there will be a traditional “old skool” fun fair, as well as over 60 individual stallholders offering an extravaganza of local delights creating a “not to be missed event”.
