This annual event has taken place for 61 years, managed by the Winchester Round Table. Raising money for good causes, it raised more than £50,000 in 2018!
Starting at 18:00, a torchlit procession meanders through Winchester from King Alfred’s statue to the fields behind River Park, before lighting the bonfire at 19:15. At 19:45 the legendary Fireworks Spectacular is set to light up the skies above the historical city.

Getting to Winchester by train is easy, with four South Western Railway trains an hour to and from London, stopping at major stations like Southampton Central, Bournemouth, Basingstoke and Woking.
